FRED RAUCH FUNERAL RITES FRIDAY
Frederick A. Rauch, son of John J. Rauch and Caroline nee Dolch, was born January 14, 1882 in Germany and soon after birth was baptized. In 1888 he came to the United States with his parents, locating in Lincoln Township in Iowa County. In early youth he was received into communicant membership of St. John's Lutheran Church south of Victor by the right of confirmation.
On June 12, 1920, he was united in holy wedlock with Mary Davis. 10 years ago the family moved to a farm near Marion.
Mr. Rauch passed away Sunday night at his home Tuesday, July 21, 1942. He is survived by his wife; a son, Ralph; a daughter, Maxine; a brother, Charles Rauch of Williamsburg; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Stoker of Victor and Mrs. JF Meyer of St. Charles, Missouri. His parents, three sisters and one brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in the Yocum funeral home in Marion. Burial was in St. John's Cemetery in Lincoln Township.
He was a faithful member of the Lutheran church. The large delegations present from Pilot and Lincoln townships at the funeral services was a merited tribute of the deep respect in which he was held in this community where he resided for so many years.
To the bereaved family the sincerest sympathy is extended.
