John Morgan
(June 6, 1807 - February 27, 1890)

Cushing News - John Morgan, age 83, died at the home of his son Jerry J. Morgan on February 27,1890 and was buried in Oak Grove Cemetery Saturday March 1. Mr. Morgan was a Virginian. Source Ida Grove Era, Ida Grove, Iowa, Thurs., February 27, 1890.

John Morgan was born near Cross Creek, near Fayettville NC and the family moved to Lead Mines (now Austinville) Virginia in Wythe County in 1809 - so even though he called himself a Virginian, he was actually born in NC.
