Ricky Alan Lundberg – 1971 New Year Baby
Ricky Alan Lundberg is the official Ida County New Year Baby. In fact, little Ricky could scarcely wait for 1971. The New Year was only two hours and twenty minutes old when he arrived on the scene at Horn Memorial Hospital. Dr. Earle Stine Jr., was the attending physician. Master Lundberg is no fly-by-night. He tipped the scales at an impressive eight pounds, ten and three-fourths ounces. He measures 20 ½ inches. Ricky is the fifth child born to Rev. and Mrs. Robert Lundberg of Arthur, Iowa. Ricky may be fifth in line, but he has the distinction of weighing the most at birth of any of the Lundberg children. Rev. Lundberg serves as pastor of the Evangelical Free Church in Arthur. As the official New Year Baby, little Ricky will receive gifts from Hood’s Pharmacy, Ida County State Bank, Albrecht Pharmacy, Bo-Peep, House of Flowers and Dreiers Bakery.
