First Baby of 1957 Is Born To Mr. and Mrs. Leo Ehrig

Angela Marie Is Name Given Local Contest Winner
Angela Marie Ehrig, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Ehrig, has been named winner of the Ida Grove “First Baby of 1957” contest sponsored by several local merchants. She was born at 5:05 p.m., Thursday, January 3, 1957, at the Ida Grove hospital, Angela weighed 7 lb. 3 ¼ oz. Two brothers and two sisters greet the New Year baby. They are Tony, 8; Mary Ann, 7; Leona, 4; and George, 3. The Ehrigs live on a farm about eight miles north of Ida Grove. This is their second year in the present location. Prior to that they farmed south of Ida Grove. As winner of the baby contest, Angela (and her parents, too) is in store for some wonderful gifts which will be presented by Ida Grove merchants who sponsored the contest. Firms welcoming the first baby of 1957 include: Coast-to-Coast, Culligan Soft Water Service, Heffron Pharmacy, Ida Grove Dairy, John’s Cash Market, Moore Furniture, Penney’s, Tyrrell Studio and Wolff & Co., Inc.
