(November 9, 1934 – January 16, 1935)Funeral Service For Baby Held Friday
Funeral service for the young Claman baby who died last week was held Friday afternoon at First Lutheran church, Rev. A. Schardt officiated. The following obituary was read at the service:
Carrie Louise Claman was born on the 9th day of November 1934. She was the fourth child of Nath Claman and his late wife, Carrie. At the early age of seven days, she lost her mother, leaving her to the care of her father and her grandparents. She was brought to the Lord in Holy Baptism on the 27th day of December. This act was performed by the Rev. A. Schardt. For the first few weeks the child was gaining in health and strength. Then, however it was manifest that it was the Lord’s will that she join her mother in death. She contracted pneumonia, and after a hard struggle passed away on the evening of January 16, 1935. She leaves to mourn her early death her father, two brothers, and one sister, grandparents and many relatives. She reached the age of 2 months and 7 days.
