David G. Myers, age 66, of Ridgeway, Iowa, died on Monday, December 9, 2024, at his home.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home. Prayer Service will be held 3:00 p.m. with inurnment to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cresco.

David Gene Myers was born on February 20, 1958, son of Gene and Anna (Ryan) Myers in Cresco, Iowa. Dave graduated from Notre Dame High School. During high school and after Dave helped his dad operate a portable feed mill and Myer’s Service Station in Ridgeway. He began working for Farmer’s Win Coop in the agronomy department as a Sprayer Operator and Mechanic.

Dave was a NASCAR fan and looked forward to attending races. For several years he raced stock cars locally. Dave enjoyed scrapping metal and teasing Bev’s great grandchildren. He helped to take care of his mom while she lived at home in Ridgeway. Most of all Dave loved being at home; he “got in less trouble that way.”

Dave is survived by his best friend Beverly Blaess of Ridgeway, IA; his mother Anna Myers of Cresco, IA; "Step-sons" Dustin (Jenny) Winsell and Doug (Robin) Blaess both of Black River Falls, WI; brother-in-law Bill Winsell of Decorah, IA; niece Melanie Bruening of Cedar Rapids, IA; nephew Jon Myers of Dubuque, IA; nephew-in-law Dennis (Susan) Zweibohmer of Ionia, IA; a great niece Katelyn Zweibohmer of Charles City, IA, and 2 great nephews Gabriel Zweibohmer of New Hampton, IA, and Kenneth Zweibohmer of Ionia, IA.

He was preceded in death by his father Gene Myers, sisters Diane (Richard) Bruening and Debra Winsell, and niece Jennifer Zweibohmer.
