ICE COMPANY SELLS OUT.
(From Friday’s Daily.)
The F.E. McClary real estate agency has negotiated the sale of the entire plant of the Mount Pleasant Ice Company. The business of the ice company is owned and conducted by W.R. Cole. The transfer of the business was made yesterday. The purchasers are Henry Traut and F.E. McClary, who will take full charge of the business on the first of March. This includes the ice houses, wagons, horses, etc., and also this year’s crop of ice which has been harvested and stored in the ice houses. They have also leased for a term of years both Mr. Cole’s and Mrs. Tracey’s Pond.
Mr. Cole desires to retire in part from the activities of business life. The ice business is a good one, and no doubt the new purchasers will find a good field and continue to make the business a successful one.
