Mrs. Wm. Sevold Funeral Services Held in Story C.
Louella Christine Erickson was born in Chicago, Ill. on September 9, 1904 the daughter of the late Erick O. Erickson and her surviving mother, Anna Meleng Erickson.
She was baptized in infancy by the Rev. McLaughlin of Calvary Lutheran Church, Irving Park, Chicago, Ill. In 1907 she moved with her parents to a farm near Ellsworth. In 1913 her parent moved to a farm near Radcliffe where she lived until her marriage. Louella was confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Radcliffe, Iowa by the Rev. J. J. Lee.
On November 10, 1929 she was united in marriage to William Arnold Sevold of Radcliffe at Callendar, Iowa by the Rev. J. J. Lee. Mr. and Mrs. Sevold lived in Story City from 1929 to 1938.
Eight years ago the Sevolds moved to Washington, D. C. where Senior Master Sergeant Sevold is stationed at the Air Force Medical Corps, Andrews Air Force Base. Mrs. Sevold has been ill all this time and died at Andrews Air Force Hospital on Sunday, October 14, 1962 at the age of 58 years, one month and five days.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Anna Erickson, Minneapolis, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. J. O. Thorsheim (Gladys) of Minneapolis, Minn., Mrs. D. W. Jensen (Annabelle) of Covina, Calif.; also six brothers, Orian, Harold, Russell, Virgil, Elmer and Howard and a number of relatives and friends.
Services
Funeral services for Mrs. Sevold were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 19 in the St. Petri Lutheran Church in Story City. Pastor Pernie C. Pederson officiated. Mrs. Alfred Jorgenson was organist.
Two hymns were sung by the congregation at the services "Abide With Us, Our Savior" and "No Thank We All Our God."
Casket bearers were six nephews: Elston Erickson, Arling Erickson, Harold Erickson, Robert Erickson, Howard Thorsheim, Truman Thompon.
