Garner - Former Garner-Hayfield school teacher Marie Niemeyer, 68, died Tuesday (Dec.18, 1979) at an Oseola nursing home.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Zion United Church of Christ, Garner, with the Rev. Larry Laskie officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City.

Visitation will be after 1 pm. Thursday at Cataldo Funeral Chapel, Garner.

Mrs. Niemeyer was a member of Zion United Church of Christ and Order of Eastern Star. She also belonged to the National Education Association, the Iowa State Education Association and the Garner-Hayfield Teachers Association.

She is survived by a son, Robert, of Woodburn: a grandson: two sisters and three brothers.

Marie was living in the Osceola Manor at the time of her death.
