Michael Caffrey is Dead.

Michael Caffrey, well known to everybody in Stanhope and vicinity passed away at nine o'clock Thursday morning of last week, January fourth, at the home of John Reilly, one mile west of Stanhope. Mr. Caffrey had bee in poor health for about a year and a half, having at that time sustained a stroke of paralysis that left him speechless and from the effects of which he never fully recovered. Wednesday evening he sustained another stroke and died the following morning.

Mr. Caffrey was a native of Ireland and came to this country about forty years ago. He lived in New York state about fifteen years, then came to Iowa, and has since made his home with the John Reilly family. Everyone who knew Michael Caffrey was his friend, and his death is sincerely regretted by everyone in the community.
