Obituary.
Little Clarence, the infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Buchholtz [sic], passed away Tuesday after a lingering illness of some weeks brought on by whooping cough. The little one was unusually strong until stricken with the disease which was of such a violent nature that the best skilled medical aid was of no avail. The relatives and public in general extend to the bereaved family their sorrows and sympathies during this sad affliction.
Now they've laid our little darling,
Like a rose bud in the tomb,
Should we mourn though much we love him
That this bud may in heaven bloom.Little Clarence how we loved him,
Light and joy he brought our home,
But the Saviour took him from us,
Early he recalled his own.And though now our home is lonely,
Though we miss his smiling face,
Would we call him back from heaven,
From that pure and holy place? No! But we would rather meet him,
When our work on earth is done,
Meet and love him just as ever
In our Heavenly Father's home.SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Clarence Buchholz was born 24 April 1896, son of George J. Buchholz and Emma Jeanette Olmstead.
