To this union were born six children, one having died in infancy and Charles, 11 years ago. The remaining children are Clyde, William and Sylvester, all of Jewell, and Emma Jane, of Selma, Alabama, besides nineteen grand children and eleven great grand children.
Mr. and Mrs. Harman were married in Jersey Shone, Penn., and moved from there to Wisconsin and later to Marshall County, Iowa, and from there to a farm near Jewell in 1879. Since the death of her husband, Mrs. Harman has made her home among her children. She was sick but a few weeks, death being due to paralysis. She was a member of the Methodist Church for many years.

L. Fleenor, B. F. Knudson, and E. W. Knudson.
"A precious one from us is gone,
A voice we loved is still;
A place is vacant in our home
Which never can be filled."
"God in His wisdom has recalled,
The boon His love had given
And tho' the body slumbers here
The soul is safe in Heaven."The following relatives from out of town, nieces of the deceased, were present at the funeral: Mrs. John Wise, Mrs. John Yetley, Mrs. Jake Zink, and Mrs. Clara Brakebill, all of Tama County. Also Mr. Raymond Secor, of Selma, Alabama, a grandson of the deceased.
