Mrs. Maude Day, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.A. Manion, of Sullivan, Mo., and J.C. Erton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Erton, were united in marriage at 1 o'clock Thursday, August 18 [1921], at Lakeman, Mo. The bride is well known here, having spent several months here. The grown [sic] grew to manhood here, and attended the public schools of this place. Mr. and Mrs. Erton have a host of friends, who join in wishing them a long and prosperous wedded life. They will live in the Fuller residence.

A large crowd gathered at the Wm. Erton home Monday evening to charivari [Never seen it spelled that way . . .]. Mr and Mrs J.C. Erton, who returned Saturday from Missouri, after which the bride and groom joined with them in charivariing Mr. and Mrs. Joe Segar at the P.E. Segar home.
