George F. Vannatta, III, 61, passed away Friday, July 13, 2012, at the Panora Nursing & Rehab Center, Panora, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife, Karen of Guthrie Center; four children, Steven (Diane) Vannatta of State Center; Karen Vaske of Cedar Rapids; Matthew and Samuel Vannatta both of Guthrie Center; Six grandchildren and ONE great-grandchild; mother and step-father, Phyllis (Jim) Wiebenga of Jefferson, and three sisters. He was preceded in death by his father, George F. Vannatta, Jr.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at the Panora Church of the Brethren, Panora, IA. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Guthrie Center. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 17, 2012, from 4 to 8 p.m., with family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at Twigg Funeral Home, Guthrie Center.
