OBITUARY OF MRS. ISAAC WILLIAMS
Minerva Jane Hearn was born November 16, 1843, in Knox county, Illinois. On February 2, 1871, she was united in marriage to Isaac Williams of Windsor, Missouri. To this union eight children were born, four sons and four daughters.
The family moved to Cass county, Iowa, in September some fifty years ago. A few years later they moved to Guthrie county, where the husband preceded her in death in 1900.
Grandmother Williams has made her home in Somers, Iowa, with her youngest son, Charles M., for the last sixteen years.
Thirty-nine years ago, mother Williams became a Christian and joined the Methodist church in Guthrie Center, Iowa. She is survived by eight children - Frand Williams of Milford, Iowa; Albert Williams of Jackson, Minn.; Marcus Williams of Jackson, Minn.; Charles Williams of Somers, Iowa; Allie Saners of Atlantic, Iowa; Alice Frazier of Woodward, Iowa; Martha Carlson of Des Mones; Minnie Kirchner of Jackson, Minn.; forty-four grand children, thirty-three great grandchildren and many friends.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, December 1, at 2:00 o'clock at the M.E. Chruch, by Rev. Wallace, pastor of the M.E. church of Somers, Iowa, assisted by Rev. O. W. Morrow. Interment was made in Valley Township cemetery.
