John Maine, four miles northwest of Guthrie, has just completed which he claims to be the largest barn in the State. It is 60 by 250 feet and 28 feet high. It will hold 300 tons of hay, 20,000 bushels of corn, and stable room for 200 head of cattle. A horse team can be driven in the barn, and turn around. It took 114,000 shingles to roof it, and the lumber without the framework amounted to 267,000 feet. The cost of the barn was between $7,000 and $8,000.
