Former Beaman Man Dies In Marshalltown

Perry Griggs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Griggs, formerly of Beaman, died in the Evangelical hospital in Marshalltown last Saturday. He was 85 years old. He had been afflicted with a heart condition several years.

He was born March 5, 1878, in the Beaman area and grew up there. He had been making his home in Marshalltown several years before his death.

Surviving is a son, Homer Griggs from Marshalltown, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
