MRS. LEE RICHARDS
Cassie Mary Beatty, the daughter of James and Mary Beatty, was born in Rock Port, Mo., February 22, 1884, and passed away at the Hamburg hospital, September 27, 1950, at the age of 66 years, 7 months an 5 days.
She graduated from the Rock Port schools and taught in the rural schools of Atchison county. She united with the Methodist church at an early age.
On June 3, 1906, she was united in marriage to Lee Richards. They moved to a farm near Riverton, where they had since lived. Four daughters were born to them: Mrs. Clyde Fisher (Hazelle), Tulsa, Okla., Mrs. Douglas Taylor (Ruth), Savannah, Mo., Mrs. Ralph Jackson (Faye), Hyattsville, Md., and Mrs. Orville Pugh (Mildred), of Riverton. She is also survived by her husband, four grandchildren, one brother, Dr. J.J. Beatty of Walla Walla, Wash., and many friends.
Mrs. Richards was loved by all who knew her. She was a loyal and devoted mother and was a friend to all.
Funeral services were held at the Riverton Methodist church Friday, September 29 at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. Duane Manning with burial in Riverton cemetery.

Hartmann and Mr. and Mrs. Gus Minter of Rock Port, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Buettner of Watson, Mrs. Buford LaHue of Langdon, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hull of Tarkio, Mr. and Mrs. Ora Taylor of Savannah, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. Orin Pugh of Peru, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Pugh of Tulsa, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Emery of Shenandoah, Florence Taylor of Omaha, and the members of her daughters' families.
