Hampton, Ia., April 18 - C.F. Osborne, chief surgeon at the Lutheran hospital here, was quietly married at Des Moines to Miss Anna Cronin of this city. Miss Cronin has been chief anesthetist at the hospital for several years.
The event was more or less of a surprise to their many friends altho it was not unexpected by those most intimately acquainted with the principals.
The marriage occurred at the home of Dr. Osborne's sister, Mrs. J.O. Woltz, the Rev. J. Lewis Gillie, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating.
Dr. and Mrs. Osborne have returned to Hampton and for the present will have quarters at the Coonley hotel. Soon, however, they expect to occupy the handsome residence Dr. Osborne purchased recently from August Brandt, located on East Fifth street.
Dr. Osborne has gained a wide reputation as one of the best surgeons in this part of the state. He has been practicing here for the past 15 or more years and for the past six has been connected with Lutheran hosiptal as chief surgeon. He also has large financial interests in this city and county.
The bride is a Hampton girl, born and reared, was a student of the local schools, later took a course of trainng as a nurse and became very proficient in her chosen profession.
