Small Fire at Charles City, Iowa

CHARLES CITY, Ia. May 23 – A fire this afternoon, destroyed the small frame stable of J. P. North. A valuable young horse had its eyes burned out and inhaled flames so that there is no hope of recovery. The loss on the building and contents is over $100. No insurance. The fire was caused by children playing with matches.
