There is a Jonas and Anna Overhouse family listed in the 1900 census of Dover township, Fayette County, Iowa. She was said to have 6 children all living. Those listed were Peter, Barge (b. 1878), Christina, ? and grandson Frank. Jonas and Anna born in Norway, the children in Iowa.

WPA records have the following burials listed .. George Cemetery, Dover township.

Jonas R. Overhus 1841 - 03 Dec 1901
Annie Overhus 1842 - O1 Jan 1900
Christ J. Overhus 1881 - 13 Oct 1901

George Cemetery near Eldorado is a pioneer cemetery and has been restored by the Pioneer Cemetery Commission volunteers. Any records and family information are at the Fayette County Historical Center in West Union. They do not have e-mail ... must either write or visit the center. Obits might be available on newspaper microfilms at the center.
