Thanks for your response; I am curious to know how you know that John Curtis who was born in 1515 in Essex, England, and his wife’s name was Margerie?

There could be a possible link to those who I am researching, however, I live in England and finding supporting evidence for anyone born before 1538 is extremely difficult. Only famous families and not many none famous families are able to trace their ancestry back before 1538.

Parish records did not begin in England until 1538 and most of those did not survive. Many of our parish records that existed after 1538 don’t exist today, and many parishes did not keep any records until much later than 1538.

The great fire of London destroyed more than 80 churches and all the records that were in those churches did not survive.
