This may not be a connection, but here is something about a daughter of a Noon family and her son who became mayor of Lawler, in Chickasaw County. An uncle of O.B. Taylor, J.N. (Joseph Nelson?) Taylor married my Dad's Aunt, Melda Fitzsimmons, who was born near Clermont in 1863.

"O.B. TAYLOR is filling the position of mayor of Lawler and is well
known in grain circles as grain buyer an manager of Lawler elevator
for Gilchrist & Co.. He was born in Lawler on the 15th of October,
1881, a son of Oliver and Ellen (Noon) Taylor, the former a native
of Wisc and the later was born in Illinois. The father came to Lawer when
a young man of 22 years and was here married, his wife having been brought
to Lawer during her infancy, her parents locating upon a farm near this
place."
