I live in Ohio and have a request that will not be so easy to find for land that my family purchased (perhaps as early as 1865)and sold in 1869. I am not 100% sure they owned the land...that is the crux of the matter. The only thing I have to go on is a description of where the land may be located and the name it would have been in. The son who was about ten when the family moved away in 1869 said his father bought and sold 60 acres between August 1865 and June 1869. The father built a lime kiln and burnt lime found on the farm. The children visited 2 caves along the west side of the Turkey river, said these were "ice caves" and found running water in one of them. Eldorado was their Post Office but they traded at Clermont.
I would like to visit the area sometime and get some photos of the land/farm if it can be located.
