It is possible a will exists and has been microfilmed. Familysearch.org catalog lists under Fayette, Iowa both county probate indexes and will books, but also has some record of Heirs, etc. This may cost only a few dollars US.
If your purpose however is to locate heirs and their fates, then I think the task is somewhat easier as US census records are now pretty well indexed up to 1940. We know that sole heir Mary Thompson had four children who survived childhood, that she and family moved to a humble existence in St. Paul MN. Meanwhile W. Swale's wife Rebecca was described as a capitalist in the 1900 census in Waucoma at age 83. It means that she lived off investments, probably land rentals. A most interesting probate might be the one that disposed of Rebecca's property. I am not related but some of my relatives were neighbors.
