Diana,
Did not spot an obituary or death notice. The articles below indicate his year of death would have been 1975-1976.
Respectfully,

West Union -- A $185,000 damage suit has been filed in Fayette County District Court Friday against Kay Dale Sweet of Winneshiek County, a saloon-keeper in Waucoma doing business as the Riverside Inn.
Plaintiff Leona Mary O'Regan of the Waucoma area asked for $150,000 and costs and each of her seven children asked for an additional $5,000 apiece and costs for the lost support and maintenance and the companionship of their father and her husband, Francis Jay O'Regan.
The petition states that on Nov. 9, 1974, Francis O'Regan was involved in a fray where severe permanent injuries were suffered.
The plaintiffs allege the defendant, Sweet, continually served O'Regan liquor even after he was apparently intoxicated and was therefore the approximate cause of his involvement in the fight.
