The Michael Mahoney family was on the next page. Iowa was part of Wisconsin at one time.Quite a bit of variation on their ages from census to census.
Iowa began recording vitals in 1880, so you may not find a death record for Michael. However, there likely was a probate record for Michael when he died. That should be in the clerk of court's office in Chickasaw county. It should give a date of death, and list his heirs names and locations.
