Beth Ann Wycoff, the daughter of Earl and Ellen (Stuen) Van Driel was born on April 12, 1967 in Estherville, Iowa. She died on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at Mayo Clinic Hospital, Methodist Campus, in Rochester, Minnesota at the age of 55 years, following a courageous fifteen month battle with cancer.
Beth attended Estherville schools, graduating from Estherville High School in 1985. She then received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Iowa and her Master's from the University of Northern Iowa. Beth taught for 33 years at Mallard, Ringsted, and Estherville, Iowa Schools. She served many roles in her years as an educator and was an integral part of the school community. Her greatest joy was witnessing the success of her students, as she was a champion for all.
She married Thomas Wycoff on December 23, 1989. Some of their most treasured memories were time spent together enjoying each other’s company, especially an afternoon of Bloody Mary’s at The Ritz. For hobbies, Beth enjoyed gardening, exercising, shopping for bargains, reading, baking, walking the dog, and loved hosting parties around the kitchen island. Most important to Beth was spending time with her grandchildren, grand puppies and family and friends.
Beth was a giver by nature and will always be remembered for her quick wit, infectious smile, and compassion for others. Her spirit will live on in the many lives she touched.
Beth is survived by her husband, Thomas Wycoff; parents, Earl and Ellen Van Driel; children, Erin (Chad) Henderson and their children, Carter and Camden; Matt (Nikki) Wycoff and their children, Sadie, Millie and Kirby; Zachary (Taylor) Wycoff; Alec (BriAna) Wycoff; sister, Lora (Steve) Juhl; in-laws, Dan (Cailin) Wycoff; Debbie Nurre; Barb (Bob) Carter; Steve Hulsing; many nieces, nephews, extended family and Beth’s beloved chocolate lab, Gracie.
