LOOKUP PLEASE

GIBSON, HOCKING

I am looking for help with look ups; possibly in the Iowa Census' between 1880 and 1910 - whatever is available. Cannot seem to find them online.

Have a family who in 1880 was in Iowa County, Wisconsin and appeared on that census:
1880 US CENSUS, IOWA COUNTY, DODGEVILLE, PG 39, ED 150:
Source Information:

Census Place Dodgeville, Iowa, Wisconsin

Family History Library Film 1255429

NA Film Number T9-1429

Page Number 49C

Dwelling #377, Family #389
GIBSON, William, age 56, married, Farmer, POB England, England, England
GIBSON, Elizabeth, age 50, married, keeping house, POB England, England, England
GIBSON, William J., age 18, son, works on farm, POB Wisconsin, England, England
GIBSON, Mary E., age 15, dau, POB Wisconsin, England, England
GIBSON, Sherly C., age 10, dau, POB Wisconsin, England, England
GIBSON, Richard M., age 7, son, POB Wisconsin, England, England
GIBSON, Thomas J., age 5, son, POB Wisconsin, England, England

Then most of them disappear. William (son) ends up in Dubuque as well as Shirley Sallina and Agnes. Rumor has it that Elizabeth Gibson (the mother) also goes to Dubuque and at first, she is living and working in a boarding house as well as some of her daughters. Shirley married a Wilkinson in 1892 to a man she met supposedly at the boarding house she worked at, Agnes married a Miller, Mary E. married a Roben or Robert Miller, and Sarah Jane (who wasn't in the house in 1880) married a Smith. The mother, Elizabeth, married James Hocking in 1894. We cannot find William (Sr. b. abt 1824) or his two youngest sons: Richard M. or Thomas J. Gibson. Would someone who has access to the State census records please look these people up for me? You may very well find a William with a wife Theresa -- that is the oldest son of William and Elizabeth Gibson who was born in Wisconsin. Both parents were born in England. Elizabeth (Gibson) Hocking died in 1910 and is buried at Center Grove. Does an obituary exist for her in a Dubuque paper of that time? Is anyone researching the Hocking name and can anyone tell me about James Hocking?
Please email me at marianne@epix.net if you find anything. Thank you so much.
