One of the first of the spring’s wedding was that of Miss Hazel Lear Howie, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David T. Howie, and Mr. Edward Thomas Hughes. The ceremony being performed at high noon at the home of the bride’s parents on Langworthy Avenue, in the presence of the immediate relatives and intimate friends of the bride and groom. The program of nuptial music was given by Mrs. Edward Healey, the bridal party entered the reception room where the ceremony was performed to the strains of Lohengrin’s Wedding March.
