PITMAN-ROGERS

The Marriage of a Popular Young Couple
Wednesday Evening

At the home of the bride’s brother, Robert L. Pitman in Dodge Township, the marriage of Miss Jessie Pitman and Henry Rogers occurred at 7 o’clock Wednesday evening in the presence of about sixty relatives and intimidate friends. The officiating minister was the Rev. W. M. Purce, rector of St. George’s Church, of Farley, who pronounced the Episcopal service, in tying the Gordian knot. The bride is a charming young lady of such traits of character and accomplishments that have made her a great favorite among her numerous friends. She will make for her chosen husband and excellent helpmate and companion.

The bridegroom is the younger son of that sterling citizen of Cascade Township, David Rogers. He is an industrious and exemplary young man, who is highly regarded in this city and vicinity. He is engaged in farming and successfully operating one of the large tracts of land in Cascade Township that belongs to the Rogers’ domain, upon which he has prepared a home for his lovely bride. After the ceremony an excellent supper was served and the remainder of the evening was spent in various social pastimes. The PIONEER extends felicitations.
