Bernice Hudson Bauercamper, 98, of Burlington, died at 1:20 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2002 at the Burlington Care Center.
Born Sept. 26, 1903 in Omaha, Neb., she was the daughter of Charles and Ada Hudson Bauercamper.
Miss Bauercamper was an English teacher of Burlington High School. Before moving to Burlington, she taught in New Jersey.
She attended Parsons College and was a graduate of the University of Iowa. She was a member of Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, Shakespeare Club, United Nations Local Chapter and Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors include cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A graveside committal service for Miss Bauercamper will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Lewis H.Dunlap officiating.
Following the graveside service friends are invited to a gathering at Jefferson Street Cafe.
A memorial has been established for Unitarian Universalist Fellowship and Burlington Public Library.
