Last Will and Testament
I, Louisa Baker of Burlington, Des Moines County, Iowa, in view of the certainty of death and the uncertainty of life, make, publish and declare this as and for my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills heretofore at any time by me made.
Item 1. It is my Will that after my death my honest debts, the expenses of my last sickness and funeral be paid as quickly as the best interest of my estate will permit.
Item 2. I will and bequeath to my two daughters Mary I. Hainey and Ella Chatman, no part of my property.
Item 3. I will and bequeath to my son in law, Leopold Thalheimer, the sum of Fifty Dollars and said sum to be paid to him as soon as there is money available for that purpose.
Item 4. I will and bequeath to my beloved daughter Minnie Thalheimer all the rest and residue of my property of every kind and description both personal and real, she to have and hold the personal property absolutely and unconditionally and the real estate in fee simple with full power to sell, convey or incumber any or all of the same when ever she may see fit so to do.
Item 5. Having the utmost faith in the business ability of my daughter Minnie Thalheimer I nominate and appoint her the executrix of this will and it is my Will that she be allowed to perform such duty, without being required to enter into bonds for the faithful performance of this trust.
Executed and signed on this Jan. 7th, 1908.
