School teacher, Dyersville; born 12-3-1834, in Bavaria; in 1854, came to WI in 1858, to Dubuque Co; the following year to Dyersville, where he since has resided & taught school; he owns his house and lot in Dyersville. Married Mary Boeckenstedtte in 1859; she was born in Oldenberg, Germany; they have four children-John, Joseph, Liddy and Anna. Democrat; Catholic. The "History of Dubuque County"
