Leo Maurice Sullivan, son of John and Sarah Rainey Sullivan was born March 21, 1904, and died Oct. 3, 1977, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines, Iowa, age 73 years, 6 months, and 12 days.

He was born and spent his life on the farm north of LeRoy in Decatur County, Iowa.

In 1926, he was united in marriage to Valera Faubion. To this union were born three children: John Leo, Allen Clark, and Helen Ruth. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with their immediate family in 1976.

Survivors include his widow Valera; two sons: John and wife Donola; Allen and wife JoAnn; one daughter Helen Ruth and husband Orlan Boggs Jr., all of Weldon; six grandsons: Jerry Sullivan and wife Kathy, Humeston, Iowa; James Sullivan and wife Betty, Audubon, Iowa; Jeffrey Sullivan, Pella, Iowa; John Sullivan, Don Sullivan, and Joseph Boggs and wife Joan, all of Weldon; two granddaughters: Vicci Carson and husband Raymon, Leon, Iowa; and Janilee Cobb and husband Danny, Lucas, Iowa; three great grandchildren: Robert Boggs, Susan and Travis Carson; brother Arthur, Leon; two sisters, Mary Anderson, Humeston, Iowa, and Murine Darrah, Chariton, Iowa; other relatives and friends.

Preceding his in death were parents; sister Gladys Heath; four brothers: Dennis, John, Edgar, and Donald Sullivan.
