Evelyn Stookesberry

Naomi Evelyn Stookesberry, 82, Bloomfield, died Dec. 27, 1989, at the Bloomfield Care Center.

She was born Aug. 21, 1907, in Lancaster, Mo., to William W. Evans and Cora Shelton. She married Roy R. Stookesberry on Oct. 10, 1925, in Bloomfield. He died April 4, 1978.

She was a member of the Bloomfield Christian Church, a 50-year member and Past Noble Grand of Rebekah Lodge No. 1, a 50-year member of Order of Eastern Star Friendship Chapter, a charter member of So and Sew Club, G.L. Club and Prairie Home Club.

She is survived by two daughters, Wauneta Marlette of Fort Madison and Jean Wilkinson of Audubon; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Orin and Lionel Evans.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 30, 1989 at the Priester Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Quentin Johnson officiating. Burial was in the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Memorials may be made to her church.
