Elmer Paul Schindler
Elmer Paul Schindler, 85, Columbus, Ohio, died Wednesday at Chillicothe, Ohio.
He was born March 20, 1894 in Davis County to Frederick and Mary Tschantz Schindler. He taught school in Iowa for several years and was county superintendent at Albia and Nevada. He moved to Columbus after retiring. He was a veteran of World War I, a member of the United Methodist Church, the Rotary Club, the American Legion and the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his widower, the former Dorthea Speakman; two daughters, Susan Krummel of Donnelson, Ill., and Sara Garnes of Columbus, Ohio; seven grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. C.C. Hockersmith of Bloomfield; and one brother, Alvin Schindler of College Park, Md.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday (missing) . . .
