Russell, Kizer, Way Surnames

KIZERKAISER, RUSSELL, WAY

My grandmother, Mabel Catherine Russell was born in March 1888 in Des Moines, of what I thought to be Polk Co to Leander Russell and Emma Jane Way. To date, I have been unable to find the family in any census records. Either Leander died, or he and Emma divorced, as Emma was remarried to a Frank Kizer on Jan. 15, 1898, in Dallas Co Iowa (this information was passed along to me from a wonderful lady at the Polk Co GenWeb) I had assumed grandmother's birthplace as Polk Co, but after some looking around, I find that Dallas county has a township named Des Moines, and therefore that may be her place of birth. Anyway, according to Grandmother's obituary of 1954, she had a half brother, Merle Kaiser, and a brother named John or Jack, who I do not know if he is a Russell or a Kaiser/Kizer.
