Tony Bloskovich, a Croatian miner employed by the Scandia Coal Co. in mine No. 2 at Zookspur, was instantly killed Friday afternoon about one o'clock when a big piece of slate fell without warning and pinned him underneath. The heavy mass was lifted off him in a few minutes but he could not be revived. Blockovich was 38 years of age and had been employed in the mines at Zookspur for the past nine years, ever since it was opened. He is survived by his wife and three children.
