Funeral Held Monday - 26 Oct 1970

Collapses in Sheep Barn at Storm Lake

Ben Houser, 68, a Kiron area farmer, collapsed at Scott's Sheep Yards in Storm Lake on Wednesday October 21 and taken to the emergency room at BV Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Funeral services were at 2 o'clock Monday and burial in the Hayes Cemetery. His wife, two sons from a previous marriage, Harry of Portland, OR and Howard of Redwood City, CA, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild survive him. He married Olive Samuelson September 2,1937. They lived in Wheeler twp. Sac County and were farmers until 1967 when they retired. He suffered from arthritis. He was preceded in death by a daughter Virgina, three brothers, Jack, Forrest and Burdette.
