Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Carlson, 90, of Ida Grove will be at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) in the Arthur Evangelical Free Church. Mrs. Carlson died Monday at the home of her granddaughter in rural Ida Grove. The Rev. Robert Lundberg will officiate. Burial will be in Hayes Township Cemetery in rural Arthur under the direction of the Christensen Funeral Home in Ida Grove.

Mrs. Carlson, the former Edith Adelia Hardy, was born 9 May 1894 at Spencer. She was a former school teacher and had been an Ida County resident for the last 64 years. She married Vern Moad 12 Dec 1912 at Sac City. He died in March 1918 at Lincoln, Nebraska. She married Emil Carlson 11 Feb 1922 at Sac City. He died 18 Nov 1980.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Delphine (Leila) Kolb of Ida Grove; two sisters, Mrs. Martin (Violet) Miller of Lapine, Oregon, and Mrs. Thelma Fischer of lake city; three brothers, Glen of Washington State, Leonard of Lake City and Merle of Perry; four grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
