PROMINENT STOCKHOLM TWP. CITIZEN PASSES
On Saturday afternoon the body of Fredrick Hansohn was laid to rest in the Stockholm Lutheran Cemetery. A funeral service was conducted first in the home, then in the Lutheran church. Pallbearers were: Albert Hansohn, Henry Hansohn, Christ Koch, Ray Larson, Dale Lyman, and Henry Schultz.
Mr. Hansohn attained an age of 47 years, 1 month and 26 days. He was born in Stockholm township on February 4, 1891, to Christian and Minnie Hansohn. He was baptized in his infancy, instructed in the teachings of Christ, and received into communicant membership with the Lutheran church by the rite of confirmation of April 16, 1905. A most happy day was June 2, 1915, for on that day he married Laura Reincke. This union the Lord blessed with two daughters, Edna and Esther.
About two months ago Mr. Hansohn became ill, suffering from a number of ailments, chief of which was a weak heart. Every effort was made to help him on the road to recovery, and for a time it seemed as though these efforts would be successful. But the heavenly Father thought otherwise. On Wednesday afternoon, March 30, at 1:45 o'clock, he breathed his last. That patient worker, the heart, had failed him at last.
Among those who mourn his early departure may be mentioned beside Mrs. Hansohn and the two daughters, Edna and Esther, the parents, Christian and Minnie Hansohn, one brother, Henry, his mother-in-law, Mrs. Minnie Reincke, and other relatives, and many friends.
"I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better>" (Phil. 1:23).
