Deloit, Oct. 26-(Special to the Review) - A wedding of interest to almost every resident of Deloit on account of the prominence of the bride and the long residence of the bride’s parents in are little city, was that of Miss Edith Dobson, who was united in marriage to, Mr. Gustave Putbrease, of Ulmer, Iowa, on Tuesday evening, Oct. 19th, at the home of the bride’s mother, Mrs. John Dobson. Only the immediate relatives and a few friends were privileged to witness the beautiful ceremony, not, many person not knowing the exact date of the wedding, although they expected to learn of it in the near future.

The bride looked very sweet and pretty in a gown of brown messaline trimmed with gold lace and gold colored silk. She is the youngest daughter of Mrs. John Dobson, who with her husband were among the early settlors of Crawford County and were married only a short distance from the home where the daughter was married on Tuesday last. The family is very well-known in this vicinity, having celebrated the anniversary of their golden wedding a few years ago.

For several years Edith assisted her parents in the management of the Deloit Hotel, which burned down on January 1911, and then the same month she commenced the duties clerk in the True mercantile store, which position of trust, she had very faithfully and creditably filled for the past four years and until the time of her resignation about two weeks ago. Her genial and pleasant greetings will be missed by all the patrons of the store as well as members of the church and Sunday school, where she had been such an able and conscientious worker, filling offices, singing in the choir and assisting in any work that needed her attention. She had been caring for her aged mother and will continue to do so in her own home.

The groom is a well-known young farmer of Ulmer, and is well liked and respected by all who know him as a man of the highest, morals and ambitions. He will continue to farm his land of 240 acres located between Ulmer and Lake View, where he has prepared a large and modern home for his bride. They immediately took their departure after the ceremony had been performed tom their new home.

The congratulations and best wishes of every member of our community go with the happy young couple wishing them many years of joy and happiness together.
