My great grandfather and grandmother, James & Ellen O'Meara came from Ontario to Petersville in the 1850-70's. (not sure exactly) One of their 10 children, Martin Benedict, took over the farm and his son, my father, Patrick Reilly O'Meara took it over from him. It has been in our family since 1854. I would love to have any information you might have on the O'Meara's. Also if you have any information on the McGinns. I'm doing research on the Petersville Cemetery for possible listing on the national register and I believe the first grave there was a McGinn dated 1853.
