Funeral for G.R. Spletter, 83, Spencer resident for over 60 years, will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Warners Chapel. Dr. Howard Palmer will officiate with burial in Riverside Cemetery.
Masonic rites will be held and Masons are asked to meet at the funeral home at 2:15 p.m.
Mr. Spletter died Tuesday at Spencer Municipal Hospital. He was a cigar maker and long time cigar store operator
He was born in Germany and came to the United States when he was seven years old.
He and the Lena Scharf were married October 10, 1906 in Spencer
Survivors are the widow, four daughters, Mrs. George Haygarth, Spencer; Mrs. Merrill Solomon, Agana, Guam; Mrs. D.L. Clearman, Orenda, California and Mrs. J.B. Ficklin, Vienna, Virginia; a son, Charles, Dallas, Texas; 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; three sisters and one brother
Mr. Spletter lived at 113 E. 2nd
