Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Monday at Maple Hill Cemetery in Osceola. Family will greet friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola. LaVerne died Thursday at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
LaVerne is survived by his wife JoAnn, daughter, Beth (Rodney) Redman of Osceola; sisters, Beverly McNaughton of Boone, Shirley (Douglas) Akers of Leon; brothers, Gene (Patty) Marvin of Lewisville, TX, Rich (Sharon) Marvin of Osceola; four Grandchildren; Stuart, David, Jacob and Sydnee Redman; two Great-Grandchildren, Connor and Jonah Redman.
Memorials may be directed to his family for a tribute to be decided later.
