September 15, 1904, Page 7-L. L. Delong Dies Suddenly: On Thursday evening about six o'clock Mr. L. L. De Long took suddenly ill in J. C. Harrison's grocery. Physicians were called at once and prescribed for him but after a half hour's illness he died, death taking place in the rear part of the store. The body was taken to his home five miles northwest of Osceola. The funeral services were held Saturday at 11 a. m. in charge of Rev. White of the Holiness church, in the presence of many sympathizing friends. Interment was made in the Osceola cemetery. A bereaved and heart broken wife and five children mourn his death. The children are Mrs. Clark Williams, Mrs. G. W. Proctor, Homer C. of Washington, and Roy and Nellie are at home. Three sisters, Mrs. Mollie Beckett, Mrs. Abe Forney and Mrs. Maggie Hunt and one brother, J. M. DeLong, survive. Mr. DeLong was fifty-three years of age and had lived in Clarke county nearly all his life. He was a well respected and well to do citizen.
