Mrs. Bennor was one of the pioneers of Iowa, coming to the state in a covered wagon with her own team in Oct. 1870, settling on a farm near New Hampton. She came to her present home near Nashua in 1880, where she had since resided. She joined the baptist church in early womanhood.
Asleep in Jesus, blessed sleep. From which none ever wakes to weep. A calm and undisturbed repose, unbroken by last of foes. Asleep in Jesus, far from thee; Thy kindred and their graves may be: But thine is still a blessed sleep, From which none ever wakes to weep.
Funeral services were held at the Little Brown Church at 2 p. m. Sunday, Rev. Wm. Kent officiating. Burial was made in the family lot in Greenwood cemetery.
