Mr. and Mrs. M. P. Lydon and son James went to New Hampton on Tuesday to attend the funeral of the former’s uncle, Hon. John Foley, who died on Thursday, Dec. 4th, aged 80 years, after a long and busy life. He was prominent in the business and political life of his city and the district, having been honored at different times with election to municipal, county and state offices.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Aug. 14, 1841. He was buried in Calvary New Hampton Cemetery.
