Obituary of Mrs. Dietz.

Catharine Ann Zwanziger, daughter of Michael and Catharine Zwanziger, was born at Jamestown, Wis., July 22, 1848, and died at the home of her son, George Dietz, August 10, 1826, being 78 years and 19 days old.
She was married to John G. Dietz June 16, 1868, in Dubuque, Iowa. The next year she and her husband moved to Bremer county and settled on a farm in Douglas township where they resided until 1901, when they moved to Nashua. Her husband preceded her in death eighteen years ago. Three years ago, her health becoming too poor to live alone, she came to live with her children.
In her youth she was confirmed into the Lutheran church and she remained a firm believer through her long life.
Mrs. Dietz was the last of her family, four brothers and two sisters having preceded her in death.
She leaves to mourn her loss three children, William Dietz, Mrs. Mary Barber and George Dietz, twenty-two grandchildren and five great grandchildren, besides other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at the home of her son, George Dietz, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. Albert Guetzloff officiating. Interment was made beside her husband in Greenwood cemetery.
